While the big day is very close, let’s don’t forget the really important - Ranch Hand of the Year Award!

So after you’ve done your civic duty this Tuesday by casting your vote for the next President of the United States, please remember to also make your voice heard for the Armadillo.

The early/absentee results are starting to trickle in:

At press time, BNN reports that Bmichael has an extremely narrow lead over his closest competitor –

Bmichael – 692 votes

Westerly – 2 votes

*Carol T and Marilyn – statistically insignificant

These results are not, however without some measure of controversy. According to the election oversight committee, there seems to be a concern about the validity of the votes so far accumulated by Westerly.

An investigation is currently underway. Stay tuned for further updates.

The following was extracted, unedited  from a CNN article today regarding the recent legalization of pot in Colorado and Washington. While I have no opinion on the subject, I was interested in the response by filmaker169 only for his/her usage of a specific word.

See if you can find it.

I agree people should not drive under the influence however there is a problem. The effects of pot wear off after an hour or so depending on the grade and the person, some grades and people even less time. The drug however remains detectable in your blood stream for 30 days, see the problem?

I dont agree with DUI laws even with alcohol, it should be based on impairment and no matter the substance be it booze, pot, prescription drugs, lack of sleep or even emotional duress, If you cant pass an impairment test, then you loose your licence, Whats in my blood or breath is my business but if I am not capable of driving for any reason throw the book at me.

specific word: *ta-da* "loose" your license. You have to take your license out of your wallet and toss it to the winds.

I dunno ... I'm loost! (And this was supposed to go AFTER the CNN article, not before.)
