Sometime in 2014, the Fox network will run a limited series--still haven't figured out if limited is longer or shorter than a mini-series or it's the same thing with just a new name,lol--Wayward Pines, based on Blake Crouch's "Wayward Pines" book series. If interested, check out more about it here: http://www.thewrap.com/tv/article/butlers-terrence-howard-joins-fox... or here: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2618986/?ref_=sr_1.
I've just finished the first book in the series, Pines, and loved it; kind of wondering about Matt Dillon playing the lead tho; he's a great actor, but the character in the book is supposed to be a secret service agent in his early 30s; Dillon's 49. (Does the name "Jack Reacher" ring a familiar note? ;-) But I like the choice of actor Toby Jones to play Dr. Jenkins; don't get to see enuff of him in stuff.
The 2nd book in the series, Wayward, I don't think has even been published yet. But I can highly recommend the 1st book Pines and all of Crouch's other books, espec. Run; great reads. Here's hoping the series is as good as the book; we'll see...;-)

P.S. Forgot to mention: If you weren't a fan of the Twin Peaks tv show (which, according to one of the links above, Crouch says inspired him to write the books), don't worry; I didn't like Twin Peaks either but thoroughly enjoyed the 1st book. So we'll just have to see about the series; I definitely plan to try it anyway.
You know, before I read your P.S., I was thinking this reminds me of "Twin Peaks". Looks like I may have to open this group to horror and thrillers. :-)
I'm not a big fan of horror, thriller and mystery. Unless it has a Sci-fi twist to it.
I understand: altho I do like thrillers & mysteries, I'm not a horror fan either. And don't want to say too much here, but you'll want to check this out anyway.
