TBD on Ning

I don't watch TV anymore, but I am a Generation X-er so I grew up watching too much TV (a babysitting device for latchkey kids). I am thankful at least for the quality of many of the programs I watched -- Mr Rogers Neighborhood, Sesame Street, Little House on the Prairie, Growing Pains, Addams Family, Gilligan's Island, The Munsters,  Brady Bunch, I Dream of Jeanie, Bewitched, I Love Lucy were all part of my daily schedule. Though my siblings and I watched an unhealthy amount of TV shows, they at least helped in character building. I am not so sure what the recent sleuth of TV shows do for kids these days. I see more kids on I Internet game sites or Facebook than watching TV.

What TV shows were you addicted to as a child?

My son was OBSESSED with the purple dinosaur BARNEY and later POWER RANGERS. He would act like Santa came to visit every time the shows aired.

I was a Captain Kangaroo kid, but watch most of the same sitcoms you watched. Then there where the reruns of Star Trek, watched Barney Miller and the gang at the old One Two, MASH, saw the first episode of Threes Company the first three times it was shown.

Sanford & Son, All in The Family, the afternoon monster movies, they showed all the giant Japanese monsters.
