....or the bed of your pick-up??

What's been there so long that it's changed chemical composition? Is the new-car smell masked by six month old left over fries or hamburger scraps?? Could there even be small animal carcasses back there??? Do you dare to look??? Is there a murkey haze floating around back there?

I found a quarter under my front seat and a can of soup that was dated 2008. Does that count as icky? There is an odd piece of metal, like a kickstand but heavier, that I keep on the floor mat. Who knows what use I might find with that someday.
I try to keep my car tidy. Even when the kidlets were little I let the dog eat whatever he found.
The soup might have been icky if it weren't still in the can.
t-posts, rusty barb wire, tools, number of empty beer and green tea cans.
The only thing in the back seat of our car is an ice scraper/snow brush.
Sadly, the only thing going on in my back seat is my dog's seat and books being donated to the library.

There was a time though...

...I went on vacation and returned ten days later to my leftover Chinese. I considered selling the car, but couldn't find anyone that had lost their sense of smell.
Hopefully you just burned it.
Back seat of my truck: A ballistic nylon bag containing tow ropes, strap-down gear, jumper cables, jack and tire iron and similar emergency supplies. Also, a couple of umbrellas, for my slow-moving fiancee and an 11x14 plastic tub to catch what-all until I can get it inside to sort through it.

In the bed of the truck - About a hundred pounds of sand, a couple lengths of 2X4, bungee cords and a dead battery that I need to drop off at a recycling center.

It's what's behind the WHEEL that everyone should be worried about.
That's a good mix of stuff, but every pick-up should have a bale of Johnson Grass hay in the bed whether you have livestock or not...
I once knew a young woman that had a decal on the back window of her pick-up that said "real cowgirls kick ass". Does that count?
Yup...
Little White doesn't really have a backseat. It kind of looks like a backseat, but it's just a bench sort of thing, and people wouldn't actually fit back there. However, my "little" dog (a 38 pounder) rides back there now, so that my big shepherd grizzly bear can ride in the front seat. So today it contained an umbrella & a dog.
Well, the old Saturn is turning into somewhat of a mobile shed now, so it has a few quarts of oil, a couple of gallons of window washer, several pair of work gloves and most of the winter scrapers and brushes. The new Saturn is pretty clean back there....an umbrella and a phone book is about it.
