TBD

TBD on Ning

Okay...true confession...I am a Food Network addict...my day is not complete without watching some recipe show...   I'm rather fond of  "Chopped" so here you go....

This is sort of a game....I'll give you three ingredients....you give me a recipe....Mind you, you  have a full range pantry to add to the meal....You just have to use the initial three ingredients to some measure.
Then it's your turn...suggest three for the next person to make something...edible...not stinky or gross.  Something in the realm of possibility.

My turn:
Rice Krispie cereal
Halibut  (fish)
Dried cranberries....

Ooooh, ooh, let me do this one.

Lentil/chicken salad

Cook the lentils with a bouillon cube, gently, until just done, and drain them. Chop green onions, yellow peppers and fennel up fine (1/4"), mix with lentils, and season with a dressing of S&P, lemon juice, olive oil, tarragon mustard, and a dash of tabasco. Serve on a bed of whole lettuce leaves (and nasturtium leaves if you have them), garnished with strips of grilled chicken and fresh, al dente asparagus which has been dipped into the dressing. Sprinkle with fresh violets and nasturtiums or calendula petals.

Portobello mushroom caps
Fresh goat cheese
Pine nuts
