TBD on Ning

Time doesn't "pass by", it melts. Each time you wake, you start with a new block of time and as the clock ticks, a tiny piece of time melts to a puddle at your feet. Maybe it's colored by the things you've accomplished during that period. As the block melts and the clock ticks, the color changes. It is at it's prettiest when you've done the most. A wasted day is an ugly puddle on the ground.

Oh, I dunno, sometimes it takes a lot of time and effort to totally waste a day.

My wasted days turn into ugly lakes.

The reason I was thinkin' about time is that I am on christmas break from school and it's killin' me. No homework, no deadlines, no responsibility at all. I have a dental appointment next week and I'm actually looking forward to it just to have some place I have to be. Went down to St Leo's to volunteer at the food bank but the Christmas season is when everyone wants to volunteer so they don't need me. I'm already done with my gift shopping but, out of boredom, I'm going to the stores for little extra gifts for people that I barely know. Too much time, does indeed, make an ugly puddle at your feet!

AHH!  but this is the time for reflection, to relax, to do something nice for your self so when school starts up again you will have more of yourself to share with those that need it.

Sometimes at the end of a day, I find that I have wasted it rather well ;-)

I do understand what you mean in your case though...a few years ago I left an extremely busy, extremely high pressure job for one that allowed me to breath occasionally. It took me a number of months to adjust. Regardless of one's schedule you become accustomed to it and a change is not always easy.

At least you have a light at the end of the tunnel, your break won't last forever...
