It's a mystery to me.....

I cant remember where I got this..It been sitting in a cupboard on the back porch for the longest time.....I used a little gojo to clean it.....Was it TBD that turned me onto Gojo?...anyway I think its brass, so a little brass cleaner & a toothbrush should clean it up even better. The question still remains...What is this...a gravy boat maybe? Its kind of large & has a strange base for a gravy boat......Does anyone have any ideas?

Hi TBD,,,,So..I remembered correctly..It was you...I call you TBD & sometimes T-bub.......I thought maybe it was some sort of lantern for when the electricity goes out. You could place a candle in the bottom of it & walk it around room to room without the flame going out.......Here in Fl. the electricity goes out quite often during the stormy seasons so I put candles on plates... I worry about them sometimes.
