TBD on Ning

Hi, anyone else out there use gmail on an Android device & hate the latest update (5.0) as much as I do?  Well, I figured out--finally, geez, google makes stuff over-complicated sometimes--how to get the previous version (4.9, or any earlier version if you like) of gmail back on my tablet.  So priv. msg. me if you want the details.

What stupid version 5.0 was doing is crashing frequently and the few times it wouldn't crash, msgs. weren't displayed correctly: upon 1st opening a msg., everything would look fine & then 1 second later the body of the msg. would disappear, header would still be there but the actual msg. would go blank.  I sent a couple of error reports to google but no response; think I should hold my breath? ;-)

I'm hoping that they do fix it (becuz I know they only support older versions of stuff for a limited time); hopefully v. 5.1 will address the issues.  I guess I'm not the only one having the problems, keep seeing others griping about it on internet forums but so far, Google's been quiet, which means I hope that they're busy working on it.
