As many of you know, I was ADAMANTLY opposed to the war in Iraq.  That said, Marine L/Cpl Matthew Snyder was killed in action during that conflict.  He was brought home and laid to rest, during which time the Westboro Baptist "Church" decided that it was as good a place to picket (You know...."I'm Glad He's Dead!")

Cpl Snyder's father SUED Fred Phelps....the "leader" of these morons...and won.  The "church" appealed the decision...and won...and the court has ORDERED Mr. Snyder to repay the costs to the "church" for their legal fees....a sum of $16,000.

All sorts of people....from  Chris "Tweety" Matthews, to (Intelligent) conservative talk show host Michael Smerconish to Bill O'Reilly have stepped up efforts do defray the costs to the Snyder family and persue this decision all the way to the Supreme Court.
