Evidently, Karl Rove has a biography (of sorts) being released tomorrow.  The TODAY show did a bit of an interview with him (promises a more in-depth piece tomorrow.) and Karl played the Poor Me!  Everybody Hates Me Nobody Loves Me....and It Wasn't ME but the man behind the curtain!

Sorry Karl, no sale.  YOU are one of the leaders of the BE AFRAID politics now rampant in this country. The idea isn't unique with you....Machiavelli sang its benefits and Joseph Goebbels used it extremely effectively.  You will never, ever convince me that you are not the father of the America - Be Afraid politics.

Everything I've heard about is it could be an interesting fiction read.
They play victims so well.
Oh come on. It is game, and Karl, ugly little toad that he is, is a supreme fixer in arena of high theater.
We sell it too. We completely bought and sold Hope and Change, and now the Conservatives are very rightly mocking it as the Hope and Changey thing.
I've sold financial products for most of my adult life, and the adage that I was schooled in is that people buy into fear and greed. We do the same thing with our politics.
It's just my casual observation that right now, the conservatives seem to be speaking with one voice. It's the same voice that we spoke with a year and a half ago when what we wanted was a Change from the Bush Whitehouse.
So, Karl is selling out and is about to become a bigger conservative media darling.
At least he was able to clearly state what his vision for America is and why it's a good thing. Those are skills that Liberals could benefit from right now.
They shouldn't be too quick to mock the Hope and especially the CHANGE thingy.

But you're right....we were sold a bill of (really chitty) goods with GW. For the second time. The Gipper, rotten husk that he was...was the first time we really should have said "NO SALE!"
