Voted last weekend actually. (Washington state does elections by mail-in ballot)

Washington has a item on the ballot that would take away a recently enacted law allowing domestic partners the same rights (hospital visits, etc) as married couples. Thing that pisses me off is for years I've heard opponents of gay marriage say give "them" everything but marriage. As soon as the legislature passed such a law, a ref. is on the ballot less than 4 months after the law went into effect to repeal the law. What the F do these bigoted homophobes want?
the GOP could not find anyone other than a minor, former TV newscaster, to run for King County executive.

I'm down in Thurston county, but I really hope she doesn't win. What happens in King County ripples thru the whole state.

I read somewhere that idiot driven organizations that target gay issues on the ballot are losing steam because we ALL know someone who is gay...either a family member or extended family member or close friend. We know that they are harmless and, in spite of the Gay Pride Parades, are not flaming anything! When we look at the ballot measures that are intentionally designed to hurt gay people, we're less inclined to support the bigoted, homophobic nonsense.
OH.....so I see....I also found something that rather clearly (?) explains the "christian" concept of marriage.

Bigoted homophobes? It's not always the case

True, but the people behind this particular referendum are.
Looks like Susan Hutchinson is going down :-) It's 57-42 right now for Constantine (Seattletimes.com)

And R-71 is passing by about 3 % right now. I expect that to increase as King and Pierce Counties add up their votes.
I couldn't believe Virginian women voted for Mr Bob McDonnell , after they heard what he wrote in his graduate school desertations' about women place in the society. I didn't think he would get more than 10% of the women votes and the majority of the 21st century mens' votes. For reasons, I don't understand he won. On the other hand I am happy up state NY rejected Palin, second rate actor Thompson and other right wing pundits.
