This hits close to home for me, as I live in Olympia, home of the group spied on. Basically, the Army hired a civilian to infiltrate a local anti-war group, and he was successful and spied on the group for more than two years.
The military is now spying on US civilians. I can't say I'm surprised.

Oh, if anyone doubts the truth of the story, when confronted by the anti-war group, the spy readily admitted he was a spy, working for the Army.
