Old pencil sharpeners are quite collectible. They were a quick sale when I had my antique shop.

Well, you DID say you were sick.  ;-)

Nancy Green a former slave, was employed in 1893 to promote the Aunt Jemima brand by demonstrating the pancake mix at expositions and fairs. She was a popular attraction because of her friendly personality, great story-telling, and warmth. Green signed a lifetime contract with the pancake company and her image was used for packaging and billboards.

Talk about memories.....how beautiful these two were together.

About as good as it gets...

Unless you factor in the other end of the spectrum...

Golly gee, yes, I used to jive to that, but now my hearing is down these days,

I swear Little Richard was singing `Tutti fruitti oh rooty - ha!

Bop bopa-a-lu a whop bam boo

Tutti frutti, oh Rudy

Tutti frutti, oh Rudy

Tutti frutti, oh Rudy

Tutti frutti, oh Rudy

Tutti frutti, oh RudyA whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo
(Lol)

This is a real co-incidence since I inquired by phone last week

about an add for social dancing of a night time locally,

and - I'm going to get myself there tonight and I'll really

crack-up if that piece of music is put on to do the Jive !!!!

umm - I didn't do much dancing as my memory let me down

and I arrived there late!

The radio years...

Then the T.V. years...
