TBD

TBD on Ning

I'm in Maryland and it is 22 degrees with gusts of wind up to 25 mph.  I had to run out with the dog and the little 7 lb miniature Chihuahua stared at me like I was nuts.  I sitting in front of the TV with a nice cup of hot chocolate.  What are some of your favorite things to do in the cold weather?

it's 17 and windy here

2° here. Getting ready to go for a walk. Getting out my wool sweater; beats the hell out of those polyester, acrylic, rayon, etc. sweaters,

It is 29 right now here.  Supposed to snow at the house tonight.  I like to cook and bake when it gets like this....if I have time!!!!

Keep warm..........I moved from the east coast to the west coast to get away from cold weather and snow.....lol.

Keep warm everybody. I've got 60 degrees but without heat it's pretty chilly down here. I'm 5000 ft. above sea level and  I feel it.  Put some flannel sheets when I got home and crept under the covers. My poor doggie climbed right in too. Stay warm you all. I'm dressed in layers. lol

Maria, we're all coming from up north here to visit!  If it weren't for my kids and grandkids I'd pack up and move to someplace warm.

woo,it's 19 here, and the news says is supposed to get alot colder, winters are getting harder every year

It was -15F here this morning and is now -4 and I think going down again.  With the winds it was a windchill of -30 to -35  on and off.  About 25 years and farther back there was always about 3 weeks of straight below zero weather toward the end of January and the side roads would have a "pavement" of packed ice. That has not occurred for many years now. Presently there is only scattered snow cover so I suppose the frost will be deeper than last year when we had a little more snow.  I would not mind a prolonged cold spell to put a dent in the mosquitoes, ticks, and bark beetle infestations that have been gaining ground over the years.

BRRRR,do you live at the north pole?

We had our cold spell last week, over a week of below zero, today it was 64° and tomorrow it will be close to 70°, which is nice for Jan. but we really do need some moisture, all we got last week was cold no snow.

I'm in the North Georgia Mountains for a conference, and it's been 27-28 degrees each day when I've gotten up to walk Brandy, my chow.  She doesn't mind cold weather, but even she didn't want to stay out in it yesterday morning!  I've got my long johns, wool turtleneck, cords, and a down filled parka for when we go out on our walks!  I think it's cold in Jax Beach this week as well, so at least I'm not torturing myself thinking I could be down there where it's warm...

Mickchick, always good to know you didn't put yourself into colder weather.  Sounds like it's freezing everywhere but the southern most sections of the country.  I keep telling myself that Spring is coming.
