Warrior

One of my longer poems that I wrote awhile back. Almost like writing a novel for me :-)

 

A young warrior
now in his prime
surveys across his land
watching intently
for any sign
to challenge his command
 
He battled fiercly
to gain his throne
and be annointed king
a harrem now earned
with his new land
he worries of one thing
 
An heir to his throne
he must soon make
to further his blood line
for always out there
challengers wait
for weakness all the time
 
He has succeded
his quest fulfilled
a new born prince arrived
the boys not alone
there are 3 more
sisters to swell his pride
 
A few years later
battled and worn
a rival wants him gone
he fought to the death
and though he lost
his heir still carrys on
 
You may be thinking
that its a shame
kings should not die this way
but for a lion
who ruled the land
At least he had his day
