This can be a thread about really clever remarks you've read or heard elsewhere. I'm starting it in "Dramady" because I think that the most clever things are usually said about contentious topics.
Did you hear the news story about the accident at an al Queda training camp ? (This is not a joke, even though it starts off sounding like one.) A group of "trainee" suicide bombers (21 in all) were blown up by their own commander when he did something wrong with the explosives they were practicing with. I was following the story on another website, and started reading the comments below.
Most were fairly intense, addressing issues like the roots of terrorism in religion and cultural differences, the wisdom or lack thereof in responses to terrorist acts, how the media covers terrorism
- And suddenly one guy posted "Allow me to introduce myself: Wile E. Jihad - Sooooper Genius."
Wish I'd thought of that. The best I could come up with was: (Marvin Martian voice) "Where's the Ka-Boom ? There was supposed to be an earth-shattering Ka-Boom - Oh, wait -"

One of the cleverest things I've heard, upon which I built many of my decisions: "It's easier to ask for forgiveness than for permission.
PS: I like "premature detonation" for the jihadi guy, Karin!
Deja Vu... this is something you've heard or seen before.
Vuja De.. this is something you've never heard or seen before.
How are they ever going to find all the virgins when they're in soooooo many pieces?
