Last year Jeffs banned toys which is not so bad but last night I saw a news segment interviewing an escapee from his group that had received no education and then they talked about the lastest alleged weirdness. Supposely 15 select men from the Fundamentalist Latter Day Saints will be the only ones allowed to precreate among the 10,000 followers although the husband will still be allowed to support and care for the offspring. One story claimed the sex act must be witnessed by two observers to certify that God's will was carried out properly. I suppose this also brings up the issue of whether one should be allowed to run anything while doing time in prison. Jeffs seems to spend his time thinking up ways to manipulate his poor followers in strange ways.
Warren Jeffs chooses 15 to father future FLDS children, sources say
HILDALE, Washington County — Rumors are flying about a new edict that sources say was issued from a Texas prison by polygamous sect leader Warren Jeffs.
He has reportedly chosen 15 men to father all future children born to faithful members of his church.

the people that fall for this crap breeding and having offspring....whatever could be wrong with this picture?...
in a similar mindset, a utah legislator has proposed doing away with compulsory education because he says it is up to the parents to make those decisions.....uh huh......and you thought witlings couldn't be elected......
If these things weren't so stupid they would almost be funny. What asses we seem to have in our world now, I'll bet this idiot was home schooled and got F's across the board.
no one ever gets f in home school.....i worked for a guy once who believed in biblethumping and homeschooling. his kids were the most pigignorant little dolts i ever saw. the 15 year old boy could barely write his own name but he could quote scripture all day long. the homeschool day was supposed to be 4 hours long and they used s and a half hours of each day for bible study...the other 30 minutes were wasted on readin', ritin' and 'rithmatic....
I read Sam Brower's book on this case as well as Joh Krakauer's book on the FLDS and found them good reading depending on one's tastes. Just for the heck of it, if I ever am traveling near them I would like to visit these towns of Hildale, Utah, and Colorado City, Arizona although the authors of the books hinted that outsiders had to beware. They have a compound in South Dakota and other places but not very open to the public with no one really knowing what goes on. From 2006 of the SD compound http://www.childbrides.org/Pringle_photo_gallery.html
