Why is there so much Molestation among Teachers and Students these days and times ?
Seems a lot of Teachers around where i live are getting Charged ....

and maybe you're watching too much fox news. they make a habit of looking for outrage and scandal. if it bleeds, it leads. or if it has lurid sexuality and /or depravity, it is right down their alley. and remember...accusations don't necessarily mean guilt. the kids these days seem to know how to work the system to discredit teachers they don't like as well as the actual rare teacher who DOES something inappropriate

remember there were 6.2 MILLION teachers in the united states according to the 2000 census. the fact that a teacher being accused of sexual conduct with a student makes national news might just prove the fact that it is extremely rare statistically and rare enough that it does make the news. if it was common, it would no longer be news.

Then how come all the cable news shows couldn't get enough of Anna Nicole Smith, Casey Anthony, and Jodie Arias?? Now it's Oscar Pistorius time. A while back we got drowned in Michael Jackson's questionable behavior and, then, his death. That stuff takes the place of real news nowadays. No one knows where the hell Benghazi is.....but they know who won American Idol.....or what the Kardashians are up to.

I also think that if a 22 year old teacher dated a seventeen year old student in the past, it was not considered molestation. Now, the guy would be charged as a pedophile.

wayne...all that proves is one coach accused of actions....nothing more. if you want to substantiate 'so much molestation between teachers and students', you have to actually have more than one case (what they call statistically viable evidence)

I realize that but all during the year they were charged sometime 2 a week . Maybe it's a southern thing .

I think it's like all the other stuff...it's not that it's happening any more.....it's just making the news a lot more. Bad things and bad people have been around forever. But now everyone knows everything in every small town everywhere. Why do we have to see live trials on news of some ditzy gal who stabbed her boyfriend?? Only reason they care is cuz she's cute. People get murdered every day.....like in Chicago, for instance. No one knows about that, unless you're there, and no one really cares. Oh ......and let's not forget "Foxy Knoxy". All the way over in Italy, and we still watched it over and over. Who really cared?? The world is burning down.....and we're worrying about some girl we don't know and couldn't care less about who may or may not have killed a girl. Why? Cuz sex was involved. Everything is news.....even when it isn't.
