Mark Sanford of South Carolina was put back into public office by voters there after he left as Governor after an episode of "hiking the Appalachian Trail". What seemed odd was he was out on the campaign trail with the women he cheated on his wife with. More strange news from my own state after a long lingering Winter with no Spring:

Before calling 911, check to see if person lying on grass is dead

Following the zombie scare on Monday, dead people kept popping up all over Madison on Tuesday.

Or, at least it seemed that way to the Dane County 911 Center.

The center was overwhelmed with calls from cellphone users reporting people lying on the grass, not moving, possibly not living.

Not so. Check the weather.

"Please tell cellphone users that people lying in the grass are not necessarily dead," a dispatcher at the 911 center told Madison.com.

The temperature peaked at 78 degrees on a sunny day in Madison Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service. Sunbathing broke out all over town, with people randomly lying down to catch some rays.

The weather is supposed to be beautiful once again on Wednesday, so if you see someone lying on a lawn, smile and wish you had the day off too.

I was hoping Colbert's sister would win, I love Colbert..my kind of humor.

Mark Sanford is not my cup of tea at all, I think he's a deep down lier even to himself.

Yeah, at least see if they have a pulse before dialing 911.

What are you gonna do? He fell in love, he cheated, he got divorced, he admitted everything, he admitted more than we ever wanted to know, it's over, but he and his love are together. He proved he is human, just like everyone else. He must be a good politician.

Good news folks. There are still some places in the country you can ride your scooter wearing your cape and thong underwear.
Police: 'Thong Cape Scooter Man' not breaking law Associated Press – 12 hrs ago

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — A man who wears thong underwear and a cape while riding his scooter through Wisconsin's capital city may be a strange sight. But police say he isn't breaking any laws.

Earlier this month, staff at John F. Kennedy Elementary School in Madison called authorities after the man rode by in his unmentionables while students were walking to a bus.

Police spokesman Joel DeSpain tells the Wisconsin State Journal (http://bit.ly/12BOaeP ) that a sergeant had a chat with the person police call Thong Cape Scooter Man. He admitted he used poor judgment in going past the school but said he did it unintentionally.

The city attorney told police the man broke no laws.

So it seems Thong Cape Scooter Man is free to ride on.
