nice....
Sounds nice, Flipper. Great car--or boat. I can remember trying to park my father's Bonneville--it went on for thirty feet.
I like chilling outside near a body of water of some sort and also riding in the car with good music playing.
I knew a lady that had a large closet . She would go in there and lock the door to relax and get a way for a while from her husband . Sad sort of .....
I do that a lot , get lost in myself especially when i feel real lonely , Nothing like a good cry ever now and again . It helps to clear the mind ...
i walk and walk, headphones on...i go 3+ miles to a dunkin's, get an iced coffee for the walk home.... and then again, i'm chillin' here right now with you folks and a glass of wine....
I prefer to be near the water. Water has always healed my soul. But getting to water from here is not so easy. Aquia Creek (which is really more like a river) is nearby, but the closest access is used by the wealthy homeowners who have a closed marina there. It's too far to drive to the Potomac. So, when I have the time to get away, I have a place I like to go. It's Lee's Battlefield, in Fredericksburg. I am a Civil War buff, so I love to look at the trenches still visible, and the cannon in the field. I know the story of that battle backwards and forwards, so I know what I'm looking at. It's lovely there, and very wooded and serene now. Hard to imagine it was once the scene of a horrendous battle. I like to take a thermos of coffee and a good book and park under the trees and read by myself for a while. I find it restful and therapeutic.
Anywhere in my house either inside or outside, very calm here, no drama.
Too dang many Mosquito's for me to venture outside .....
Like a lot of you, WATER soothes my soul!! When I lived in Tennessee, I had several choices of places where I could take a book on a sunny day, pick up some lunch, and sit by the water. After I had a nice leisurely lunch, I would walk around the river or lake where I was, (There were a lot of riverwalks) I'm just STARTING to find my favorite places in Pittsburgh but its a little tougher and not near as nice. PLus if I DO walk around water here, its usually a creek and there are certainly NO places to get lunch unless you want to spend 10 minutes out of your way and in traffic to do it.
When I am home and the weather is nice, I am on my park bench in my front yard. It was funnny the first year I moved there, I went to a party at a neighbors and everytime someone started to introduce me, they would say, OH, you're the one that reads on the park bench up the road!! I didnt realize I had made such an impression...LOL!!
What happened to all the water? Did they plug it up?
