I have had a LOT of coincidences happen to me. A friend used to call me, "Queen of Coincidence". I can't think of any Superstitions I have but yesterday, I got to be thinking of signs, and etc. after THIS incident: I was at the WAVE POOL and looked up from reading my book to look at the clouds. The cloud was a DISTINCT heart shape. I tried to take a picture with my phone but it was so sunny I couldn't tell WHAT I was doing and MEANWHILE, the cloud "dissipated". I kept thinking, WOW, that was SO cool...I will never see THAT again!! A few minutes later, I got on my raft and paddled out so I could just enjoy the waves. Once I settled, BELIEVE or NOT...THERE was ANOTHER heart shaped CLOUD!! I said to myself if I see ONE more heart cloud, it MUST mean something and maybe I will get a picture of it but OF COURSE, that did NOT happen!!!

Odd things happen but I do not usually attribute them to supernatural forces. Truthfully, I probably do not believe in supernatural forces. However, yesterday I was at a renewable energy fair and some years I see an aquaintance there. I was leaving already yesterday and about a couple of nano seconds after I was thinkng how I did not see him this year, I looked over to my right and saw him working on his dragon suit for a kid's presentation. 15 thousand people there over the weekend and I think of him just moments before he appeared in my line of vision. Spooky. Once I reached into a junk drawer and moved aside an old military notebook and looked at a few pages as I did and saw the name of a famous general (Hmong/CIA general). Later in the day I looked at the local newspaper and saw that he was coming to visit the area which has a large Hmong population that settled here after the fall of Vietnam. What are the odds of me moving that notebook 15 years after the war, seeing his name, then reading that he was coming to my area. I am often shocked almost by this stuff. Sometimes I think I should succumb to the temptation to buy a lottery ticket. I have never benefitted from any such coincidence though.
The weirdest thing, that I recall to this day, happened over 30 years ago. In college in the early 60's I befriended some art majors. I had no artistic talent myself....but I did have a ponytail and an affinity for what they were smoking. One of my best friends in the group was a mild mannered, often mellow, sometimes crazy, other worldly type of guy who constantly drank Dr. Pepper (which I never ever drank). We spent time traveling together including about 4 weeks in Columbia S.A. (no surprise there). He, being much more free spirited then me, was to eventually stay in Columbia for several years. As often happens we went our separate ways, lost track of each other, and had zero contact. Over 10 years passed and there I was married, with a colonial style house, and a lifestyle far removed from my college days. One day I made my usual Sunday morning trip to the grocery to buy the newspaper and inexplicably also purchased a 12 pack of Dr. Pepper....which I'd never had previously bought in my life.
As you can no doubt guess, my doorbell rang that afternoon, and there stood my long lost friend with a sheepish grin on his face, as he said "surprised?" I showed him the newly purchased Dr. Pepper and said "does it look like I'm surprised?" ....and proceeded to try to explain the inexplicable.
Wow, Uno! There are more things in heaven and earth than can be explained...
It seems to me every time I get lost going somewhere I find something that I have been looking for. I call it serendipity and also why I love getting lost.
These stories are a little spooky...you guys aren't all from another planet?
I have had several very "weird" things happen in my life. Call me a cat of nine lifes, or just a "lucky" dog. What I do know is there has been something out there watching over me and I stop and say thanks each time. I do believe in karma, sometimes it takes a while but I have always seen it happen.
i've seen some weird stuff done with hypnosis but its never happened to me .. but when i had my video store there were some people that would come in all the time and then for no reason they would just stop .. and then about two weeks or a month or whatever the time was i'd say somethin about it to someone who worked in the store .. like gee we ain't seen della in a long time wonder whats up with her ?? and then 10 minutes or so later della walks in .. now if it only happened once or twice i'd say thats a coincidence .. but it happened so many times with so many different customers that after awhile we pretty much expected it .. it was almost like when we said their name out loud they got a call from somewhere and showed up .. too many times for me to count .. at first it freaks you out .. then you get used to it .. i had a dream once that came true and that was really freaky , cause it happened just like the dream .. i don't think i'm all that clarvoiant tho .. i think we all have a little bit of that supernatural stuff in all of us from time to time ..
I do believe in hypnosis, it's just being super super relaxed and allows suggestions to get into your subconscious easier. I've been hypnotized many times, I always know exactly what is going on, it's very pleasant.
On one hypnosis tape I have there is a suggestion for me to raise my arm at a certain point, I know it's there and when it's coming however when I think I can resist that suggestion ha ha ha, I raise my arm every single time.
WHat are you waiting for CHIEF...if hypnosis worked ONCE, it may work NOW for your BACK...you NEVR know!!
WOw, you guys have some great stories! I often wonder if coincidences have a deeper meaning. For about maybe 15 years or so, I travelled back and forth between Tennessee and Pittsburgh/Cleveland by myself or with one or both of my kids, starting when they were maybe 7 and 10 or so. That's about a 10 hour drive when you count in a trip to Cracker Barrel and gas....LOL! I have also gone by MYSELF. At any rate, almost ALL these trips have resulted in a car breakdown of some sort. The funny thing is its RARELY been the SAME car. I've had old cars, rental cars, brand NEW cars, etc. and have either had an engine fail, flat tire, engine overheating, or a mysterious WHO KNOWS WHAT occurrence. AND EVERY time this has happened, it has been either a lesson learned, an AMAZING person/experience, or a WILD coincidence. AND EVERY BLASTED TIME...I have broken down in the ABSOLUTE middle of NOWHERE!! I've ridden in police cars, broke down in front of TOW TRUCK places, met a pastor of a church I was PLANNING on going to that week, and a guy who's BROTHER happened to be a mechanic and had a semi exotic animal farm in MISSOURI!!
