Most pumpkins sold for Halloween aren't the kind to cook . Mom would cut up a eating kind and cook till tender . She never whipped hers she left a little coarse . Poor in pie shell with a little butter (margarine) and a little brown sugar . Never cared for a spicy pie . Takes away the taste of the Pumpkin ....
