orange is the new black .. a netflix original series ..

has anyone here seen it ?? we watched the last episode last night .. there were 26 in all and each was about an hour long .. the finale was an hour and a half .. it was actually pretty good ..nancy started watchin it and got me hooked on it too .. i have to say the ending last night was perfect .. i think they're commin back in may with another season .. and the thing about netflix is they drop the whole season on ya all at once so you can choose to watch one a night , or go coo coo for cocoa puffs and try to watch it all on a weekend . i prefer to watch em one at a time and if i'm up to it then maybe two and then maybe skip a day or two , but to each his or her own .. 

the whole premise of the thing is this upper class woman of about 30 gets sent to jail for smugglin .. somethin she did years ago with her then lesbian lover .. and how she copes with it all .. kinda like goldie hawn in private benjamin only a bit more gritty and in your face .. and lemme tell you , there are some characters in this place .. one of the guards they call porn stache .. her ex lesbian lover is played by laura prepon the one who was on that 70's show as the tall redhead , only now she has black hair and has grown up quite a bit .. all the sterotypes are there and even a few you've never even thought of .. and little by little each week they give glimpses of all these wacky girls back stories thru flashbacks and how they all ended up in prison .. women in prison .. whats not to like ?? if you havent seen it i'd recommend it .. you won't be bored .. i can promise you that .. just give it a chance, but i'll warn you .. its additctin so be careful .. cause now i'm gonna be jonesin till may .. and i think there's only 13 episodes per season .. i came kinda late to the party so we ended up watchin 2 seasons over the last couple of months .. i doubt i'm gonna be able to make just a measly 13 episodes last more than a month come may..

well it seems that the powers that be ( i'm not sure who that was ) entered this series as a comedy and my first thought was gee are they kiddin me ?? i'll admit there were some funny moments here and there but a comedy ?? i'd have to say HELL NO.. more like a dramady .. but with the emphasis more on drama .. so it was no surprise they didn't win as the comedy of the year .. maybe next year they'll wise up and enter it as a drama .. i'm not sure where i saw it said but it was said that it truly backfired on em listin it that way ..
