i grew up all around the ny nj area .. lived in far rockaway queens in the redfern projects and in elizabeth in mravalag manor projects .. in elizabeth i was right across the goethals bridge from staten island ny.. probably the nicest of the 5 boroughs of ny city .. and i've been to ny city more times than i can count .. but not in the last 24 years or so .. in the 80's i lived on long beach and island park and then later out a bit further on the island .. copaigue and west babylon .. before i left jersey for florida i lived in stuyvesant village in union nj.. been to the empire state buildin and the statue of liberty too ..funny thing is i never went to the world trade center.. i remember back in about 75 i was playin guitar with these guys who had a rehersal space in jersey city ( lemme tell ya jersey city is the asshole of nj.. if they were ever gonna give new jersey an enema they'd stick the hose in jersey city ) anyway tho their place was on the water almost and you could see right across the river to the world trade center .. that was back when it was still brand new .. only a couple of years old or so .. and it looked so big .. even from across the river it still looked huge .. it kinda sticks in my mind .. man that still pisses me off .. when cain killed abel and god asked him where is your brother and cain said i'm not my brothers keeper god said your brothers blood cries up from the ground .. it makes you think, how much louder can three thousand voices blood cry up from the ground ??
