But of course!  AAA!

Yes I have...once...in a parking lot..part of my driving lessons from my Dad..basic automotive skills.
I've had AAA for years at this point, so car stuff hasn't been a problem.

In 9th grade I took a career aptitude test and when the counselor was going over them he told me.  "if you ever have car problems DO NOT open the hood, better yet DO NOT even get out of the car.   SO, no I have never changed a tire.

Well it is good just too know how if nothing else . Ya never know if your phone fails and can't get a hold of AAA . I do think it's good to have AAA . A person needs to check oil and other fluids . Few service stations around to do it for ya .

I'm too old to have to change a tire. I want it changed for me.  And yes, I have also jumped start my car and topped off windshield wiper fluid, but I don't WANT to do any of this every again.  Nor do I want to snow plow.  My poor husband has been working outside for two days now to try to remove the snow from the sidewalks.  It SUCKS the big weenie!

It SUCKS the big weenie!

Never heard that phrase before , wow ...

Wayne, you never heard that phrase because you don't hang out with teenagers all day long. They teach me more than I teach them, lol.

Crest...I'm with you..age has it's privileges especially car stuff...been there done that years ago.
I have a list of other things that I'm trying not to do anymore either. I have people willing, for a reasonable price, to do things I don't wanna do anymore..it's working so far...

I have never actually done it myself, but I did help another woman with hers. The new pneumatic wrenches they use to put the lug nuts in tighten them so well, that it's really hard to get them off. That day when we had the flat, we had to get the school janitor to help us apply enough muscle to the tire iron to get the lug nuts off for us. We finished the job ourselves, however....even though the janitor stuck around to help us tighten the nuts afterward. I have checked and filled oil and tranny fluid, and used to have to hold the butterfly valve open on my carburator to start my car. I kept a toothbrush in the car to hold it open. And I have jumped a battery or two in my time. I am very glad I have a son to do it now, though.

So.....I shouldn't call you when I get a flat??  :-)

Yes I have, it was in 1990 and I never want to do it again. I have AAA but I've also never had to call them, when we lived in WY we had 2 flats one in our van at home which my husband changed because he didn't want to wimp out and call AAA and the other on the road with our Tundra, when we were looking for the jack the neighbor ranchers came by and changed that one for us. I do have to remember to bring my phone with me if I'm out driving alone, my husband usually always has his with him and charged. I'm bad about charging my phone and bringing it with me.

well i don't have a cell so even if i wanted to i can't call aaa .. so i just change the tires myself .. but , i am gettin older now and i'm not crazy about it .. luckily i haven't had to in a few years .. maybe its time i got a cell ?? one of them little jiffy phones or somethin ..
