labor day

yesterday was nancy's birthday so i took her out to breakfast and last nite we got a pizza and watched the movie labor day .. now i have netflix and for about 8 bucks a month you just can't beat it .. but even netflix don't get every movie you might have an interest in seein .. lately nancys been goin to the library which is pretty much down the street and around the corner from home and gettin a few movies .. and in the last few weeks we've seen a few .. last vegas,  dallas buysers club,  the wolf of wall st. , american hustle , noah,  delivery man, the monuments men , inside leweynn davis , grudge match.. and i have to say all of them were enterainin in their own ways .. but last nite labor day was i think right up there with all of them .. and it got no awards that i know of .. ( it should have ) it broke no box office records , ( i doubt it even broke even ) it got no fanfare or promotion .. in fact i doubt anybody has even heard of it .. and i don't want to give it away in case any of you are interested after readin this .. cause it has a great story .. and a great endin .. the last time i got taken so much by surprise by a movie was the shawshank redemption .. ( i didn't expect that much from that movie either and when i had my video store i seriously underbought on that title ) if you have seen it then tell us what you thought of it .. if you haven't i suggest you do .. it stars josh brolin and kate winslett ..its worth the time .. honest it is ..

coincidentally i just had that one out from the library. a good movie. it slowly draws you in emotionally and was enjoyable. and i enjoyed the slow exposition .

I remember seeing the trailer on TV when it was in the theaters...did look like it might have a surprise or two....I couldn't remember the name of the movie or who was in it but the story looked interesting...glad you shared this.

I wanted to see this when it was in the theaters, but I rarely actually go to the Movies.  It was on my Net Flicks list, but I am way far behind on watching those movies too.  In fact, many on my list fall off the list before I get a chance to watch them.  I have the original net flicks membership where they send you the disk and have been thinking of switching to the streaming version for another 3 bucks...but I am not sure I want to pay more not to watch!  LOL  Anyway, thanks for the recommendation Frenchy, I still want to see this movie.
