i never blew bubbles or anyone else.
Whew!! You had me skeered there for a minute, Wayne!! ;-)
Yes............I love to blow bubbles. My kids loved them when they were little.....then my grandkids.....and now my great grandkids. We blow really big ones in the yard when they play in the sprinkler in the summer. My dog likes bubbles, too. He loves to chase 'em.
Havent done it in awhile but when I was 18, I went on a mission trip to Haiti and we took bottles of bubbles there, (among other "simple" American "wonders" like balloons, silly string, etc.) I will never forget this one day....we were in this small VERY POOR village and there were maybe 5 children standing around staring at us (white people are just an extreme oddity and curiosity) so we pulled out the bubbles and within LESS than 5 minutes, I bet there were 100 people of all ages staring wide eyed with wonder. This old lady (she looked to be about a 100 years old hobbled over to the center of where quite a few bubbles were gathered and looked up and started POPPING them with absolute and total GLEE!! Once she started that, EVERYONE started doing it with laughter. It got noisy as they were ALL talking and laughing (in THEIR language). Then they took turns BLOWING the bubbles. Good thing someone had brought a suitcase full of bubbles...we used about HALF of them just in that afternoon!!!
What a lovely memory, Kim.
