TBD

TBD on Ning

I worked for the City of Santa Barbara for about 15 years, for 12 of those years I commuted about 1/2 hour a little longer to downtown. Now that I'm retired I find what I missed most was the drive to work, ocean on one side mountains of the other.

How is your commute if still working, if retired do you miss the drive?

Picture is my commute to and from work.

Yeah, it's kind of sad, I even try to volunteer my 'services' and there is no interest. Seems like women always want to get to know me first. I know a bad idea when I hear one. Talk about lose/lose.

I thought it was :loose, loose", my mistake....

Ha ha, lets hope uno,dos,3 gets his sex drive back since it's Valentines day. Try to be safe out there uno.

I would love that drive to work as well, Life.

I never minded my drives to work because my car, to me, is a "jukebox on wheels."  So, crank up the music and gooooooooo.  Many times I enjoy what I see even though my routes have been normal.

This is a gorgeous view Life...I assume you still live in the area right? How often do you get to see this now?

I live in Central FL...My commute is a winding road with orange groves. I also drive around and past four of these lakes. It's a pretty, peaceful drive...not a single traffic light, not even a stop sign...less than 10 or 11 cars in any given morning. Lots of birds and of course a few gators. There is also a family of sand hill cranes who live on the campus of my school. And a really nice thing is it's only a 7mi commute.

Yes blithe, we moved back to the area after being in WY for 6.5 years. I still drive to Santa Barbara about every other week we are in a sort of rural area now except they've built grocery stores and drug stores that weren't here when we first moved a little north of Santa Barbara. We realized we wanted warm climate again.

Your area is pretty I love lakes. When I lived in Michigan lots of little lakes to drive around, I've lived in some really pretty places in my life. I've found out that there aren't many ugly places in this country if you get off the highways.

some people like to stop and smell the roses...and some need glasses to be able to see which is which...

or maybe living dangerously delights them...

Yikes, that's more dangerous than I want to be. SNAP oops no more nose.
