call the midwife ..

well finally its happened .. early this mornin my new grandson entered this world .. he didn't make it all that easy but he arrived just the same .. 9 pounds and 6 ounces .. and he was born at home with a midwife .. that was the plan they had and it all worked out .. slowly .. but it worked out .. his name is franklin thomas .. i figure with a name like that if he doesn't make it as the president of the united states then he'll at least be the chief justice on the supreme court .. my son is thinkin supreme court tho cause when i brought it up he said thats why we named him that . so my idea wasn't all that original like i thought .. so if anybody here is still alive 40 years from now and you still have your memory ( a lotta if's there ) remember the name franklin thomas hughes as he's bein sworn in to the supreme court and you can smile and wink and say thats frenchy's grandson .. he was right . of course i'll be way gone by then .. lets hope he does a good job .. cause we need that don't we ??

I thought you were going to be talking about the show Call the Midwife, one of my favorites on TV.  Makes me cry every episode for one reason or another.

yeah .. it was good news wasn't it .. and i really didn't have a whole lot to do with it all .. at least not from my end anyway .. on the one hand it makes me smile .. but on the other it makes me realize i have to step aside and let the next generation run things .. its their world now .. all i can do is offer good advice .. and mostly on what not to do as i'm pretty much an expert on that .. no no no you don't wanna do that .. lemme tell ya how that went so horribly wrong for poppi .. yeah i know it looks like it should work .. thats what i thought at the time too ..

Congrats, French! Mine are all grown up. Even my great grandson is entering middle school this month. With a name like that...how can he fail? It's a nice, solid name.....not one of those wussy unisex names they pick nowadays. Sounds like he got off to a healthy start, too. Hope the parents are doing well, too. Don't spoil him too much! :-) ----- And you are right....we do need men who can and will do a good job. Good luck, Franklin!!

congratulations on the grandson, frenchy. and the best wishes for a long, prosperous and successful life for him. let's see, they used to pass out cigars on the birth of a new baby. kind of unhealthy tho. how bout passing out chocolates?? make you lots more popular and chocolate never disappoints i''ve been told
