ok back to my story .. yesterday i heard a really loud crash and was wonderin what the hell was that .. the dogs were out on the deck and they were cryin .. so i rushed out to see what it was and my pool exploded .. i mean literaly .. water everywhere .. flooded my neighbors yard .. my yard too .. what a mess .. i sometimes refer to my place as the billybob redneck resort so nancy said we had a redneck tsunamin here yesterday .. but what can ya do ?/ sometimes its just your turn ya know ?? shit happens everyday .. i guess it could be a lot worse .. i could be in one of them wildfires in colorado or one of them f5 twisters in oklahoma .. this is just a pool .. i can get another one ..  it'll be a bitch doin it in july but what can i do ?? here's a pic of what it looked like after the water all soaked into the ground ..

this is one of them softsided pools thats made out of kevlar .. the stuff they make bulletproof vests out of .. supposed to be pretty much indestructible .. and them metal uprights are like barbells .. each one of them weighs about 10 or 15 pounds .. and you couldn't bend it if you tried .. yet it just literally blew apart .. just ripped the kevlar to shreds all at once .. if i didn't see it i would have never believed it ..

no gunshot holes pat .. and yeah it was a good thing nobody was in it when it happened .. it woulda washed em right out .. and with a lot of force too right up against the fence ..

HOw old is the pool Frenchy?  You should try to dig out the warranty info, it may be covered.

That was a real surprise I'll bet frenchy, I would be calling the manufacturer and asking them how this could happen. Jeez that would make me wonder if bad luck was following me.

thats exactly what i gotta do t .. the pool is about 11 years old and i think they said lifetime warranty but it really means 20 years .. but i'm not sure .. they'll more than likely pro rate it and take so much off per year .. but here's the thing .. this was supposed to be a 52 inch deep pool but what they shipped me was a 48 .. and a 48 is a lot less money so i'll be sure to inform them of that too .. if it gets ugly i'll say the magic words that usually gets their attention .. gee .. do i need to call a lawyer about this ?? i was hopin we could work this out the easy way .

Oh wow...I've seen this on Funniest Home Videos where people are in their pools and they just collapse like that while they're in it....LOL!!

I don't believe bad karma follows me. I really don't have too many bad things happen. My ex boyfriend though who is still a friend of mine seems to have a chain of events go wrong for him all the time lately, poor guy. He usually tried to blow it off and says Why me? Then he says, It will be ok and I have to think positive. That's when I have to shut up because I cant SEE the positive side.

Wow!  As Kim said, I've seen that happen so many times on Funniest Home videos.  Eleven years...that's a long time for something filled with water to be standing.

well actually no cresty .. before i said i thought it was a 20 year warranty but i went to their website and it said it was 30 years .. and most of them pools on america's funniest videos are the kind that are made to last a season or three . you can pick em up at any big lots or bargain discount outlet for a grand or so ..and some place in the warranty is probably says void is some really fat guy tries to dive in and lands on the sides instead ..  this was made a lot stronger and meant to last a lot longer and cost 5 times as much.. you're supposed to get what you pay for.. i'm not really sure what went wrong here .. i need to do some research before i talk to em about this ..
