By new style tv's if you mean large flat screens the answer is yes. If you mean 3D etc.....nope, never will happen. My current tv's are about 5 years old.
I had my kitchen remodeled 4 years ago and replaced all the appliances and got a new washer and dryer. I figured I'd do my retirement in style.
My Washer and Dryer was purchased in 1990 . Still going strong . I had one of those fancy hidden burner stoves . I friend i know was wanting to buy one . Told him i would take 250 for it . He bought it and also give his stove to me . That stove is still going strong and still new looking . I have a 47 in Vizio TV i use for Viewing and a 42 inch Vizio i use for my computer monitor . So much easier on my tired eyes . I have replaced coffee pot many times . So many of them just don't last . The last one i purchased is a Bunn and cost 100 dollars . Crock pot 's i kept breaking the bowl because i would drop and crack . The last one i bought has a Medal pot and much lighter ...
Moved 2 years ago from Wyoming, we left our ranch house furnished because we have renters there in the winter months, we came back to CA with clothes and a few necessities so when we bought the house we're in we needed all new appliances. While we were in WY we built 2 new homes (sold both) and remodeled the ranch house, they all needed new appliances
I'm done for a long while. Well actually I still have to buy a wall oven, I've been putting it off because I have a great counter top convection oven and a great gas outdoor grill/oven with thermostat that I use a lot.
well i'm not one to have to replace somethin just because its a little out of style .. if it still works why ?? but once somethin breaks then you gotta .. that is if you can't get it fixed .. i have an older tv in my livin room .. a real monster .. 36 inch but not one of them flat screens .. the cable plug has long since quit so now i have to use the rca jacks to connect anything but they still work so no problem .. and the picture is still pretty good .. i've had the same washer and dryer since i moved here about 14 years ago and they're still goin strong .. my stove is one of them smooth tops that i got when the stove that came with the house caught fire . ( i didn't wanna fix it ) this house didn't have a dishwasher so i put one in myself .. and she don't cost me that much ..not hard to look at either .. ok i'm kiddin .. she don't wash dishes anyway . but i really did put in a dish washer when i moved in here .. got it at habitat for humanity brand new .. seems they get apliances that come in model homes and some owners want to upgrade right away so its never used but can't be returned either so they donate em to habitat and habitat sells em .. best 60 bucks i ever spent .. its been runnin for 14 years now .. and my stereo .. aww my stereo .. had bits and parts of it for 30 years .. some a bit newer .. music is one of them things that are really important to me and lately my cassette deck died , and my cd player died .. and here's the thing .. i have this wall unit that i built myself because i couldn't find one that would hold my stereo and all my albums .. ( yeah i still have albums .. a shitload .. and i sold off about half of em before i moved to florida in 89 ) and that sucker is really heavy .. and i made a really dumb rookie move that when i set it all up i ran all the wires thru small holes in the back .. wrong wrong wrong .. now i have to almost dismantle the whole thing to move it back out to replace the broken cd player and cassette player.. but this time i'm gonna do it right .. i'm gonna drill holes in all the shelves in the back so i never have to move that sucker again .. but its gonna be an all day job .. makes me wanna cry just thinkin about it .. you can really break a mans heart if you break his stereo ..
Pat how much difference id the 3D compared to HD ?
