Film critics pick the 50 best movies of all time

Endless lists have been made, and it's a great way to start an argument at a party. What's better, 'Chinatown' or 'One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest'? 'The Wizard of Oz' or 'Singin' in the Rain'? Everyone's picks are different, but for their new book 'The Greatest Movies Ever,' film critics Gail Kinn and Jim Piazza selected their choices for the best 101 movies of all time. First published in 2008, this edition of the book is revised with new picks like 'Slumdog Millionaire.' Here's a sampler --  the 50 films that got the top spots on Kinn and Piazza's list.

I've only seen 32 of them and I only own 1 of them. So, my taste isn't mainstream, but I saw some favorites in there, like It Happened One Night, and Some Like it Hot. I'm just glad that Citizen Kane didn't make the number one spot again because I think it is overrated. The first twenty minutes was great, the rest is a monument to Orson Welles' ego. Schindler's List, Gone With the Wind, and a lot of other movies on the list beat it out.

I watch movies for the actors in it usually so my list would be totally different.  Sometimes I watch if it comes from a great book or play.  For instance, I like Murder on the Orient Express no matter how many times they remake it.
