What's a product that people laugh at but you bought one and like it just fine?

Here's mine, they call it a grabber:

I only use it 2 or 3 times a year, but I think it's worth every penny.

I keep a Grabber in my truck, on my porch, in the kitchen and the bathroom. Use to pick up pecans, hay twine, paper, coins and trash on two mile of highway in Ruttersville.

What's the most interesting thing you picked up with it on the highway? Or any high-value coins?

Brass diesel cap from large tractor truck, 20 dollar bill and students report card.

Whoa, pretty good! :-)

I have pull up/down shades on my kitchen window over the sink.  I am short and sometimes the shade goes up higher than expected.  I bought an extra long set of tongs and a stepstool to be able to grab the bottom of the shade and pull it down. I really need to get me a grabber.

Yeah, I'm glad I got mine. And I bought one of the cheaper ones too (about $10; they can range up in price to almost $40!); it seems to work fine for me.

I use mine all the time. I really should bring it grocery shopping, so many things are on that top shelf and I am short.

Can't think of any other but I am sure there is something.

The hospital gave me a grabber when I had my hip replaced(2005)- love it- use it all the time. Keep it handy- good idea to have one in every room- don't know why I never thought of that. Also have a leg lifter from when I had my 1st knee replaced- Great for lifting the bad leg into bed to over the tub edge into the shower.

I have one of these, but mine is very old.

Mine too Jozee. I have tried and failed to get one that works as well for years.

I have one like that.  I find it works better from the side instead of the top.  No sharp lid, lid does not fall in and can put lid back on top to cover can.

Weed eater that has wheels. So much better that trying to tote the other kind around.
