I go through phases with jewelry. For the last coupla years, I've been going through the "it's too much trouble to wear it" phase; I have a feeling this time it might last the rest of my life, but you never know.
I never had real expensive jewelry but I did like a lot of costume jewelry when I was younger. Now I only wear my medical pendant on a sterling silver serpentine chain. I gave all my semi-precious rings and necklaces, etc away about 10 years ago.
I have plenty of good jewelry, but never wear it anymore...the neuropathy in my hands makes managing clasps etc. virtually impossible. Can't switch out my earrings, either, so just wear my studs. Did wear jewelry when I worked, except when I worked the floor in the hospital.
I really like jewelry, but all I ever end up earring is earrings.
I have earings I never wear, a diamond tennis bracelt and other things. I'm not into getting dressed up and around here it seems everyone feels the same way. None of my rings fit. They did until last spring when all my knuckle swelled up and don't seem to plan on going back to normal. I've lost 21 lbs so you'd think they'd be too big, but no, too tight. One is a very pretty blue and white sapphire. I may see what it will cost to have it resized.
I have my mothers diamond rings but would like to get them remade into a style I like. I only wear a fitbit now.
