Defied explanation

Was there ever an event in your life that defied explanation?

When one of my granddaughters was only 3 years old, she could pick up a playful kitten and lay it on its back on a pillow and point her finger at the kitten and say, "now you stay there and go to sleep. You've played enough".  The kitten would do that very thing.  I have seen her do that several times. Sometimes the kitten wouldn't go to sleep right away but it never moved or try to get up.

This only happened once but my grnddaughter and I was standing in front of my desk talking. I have a pen holder on my desk. One of the pens lifted up out of the container moved over a bit and then fell to the floor. We just looked at each other and my granddaughter said "well, that was weird".

I have a holder for my cell phone that sits beside my computer. It lifted out of the holder and fell forward onto the desk.  The holder leans slightly backward and has prongs in front to hold it in place.  I've also had mirrors and pictures fly from the wall across the room. Each time as I was standing slightly in front of them and they barely missed me.

The one about the mirrors and pictures happened years ago in a different home.  The one about my cell phone happened a few months ago.  Another thing that happens frequently is finding paper clips on the floor.  I haven't used paper clips in years.

The spirit in that house must of been mad someone was living in their house.

One time in the last house we lived in my husband was out snow plowing. When he finished he reached into the very shallow pocket for his car keys, gone. We though maybe they had fallen out into the snow but looked around the garage under the house for them, no luck. Getting a little frantic I said to the universe "We really need those keys, please put them back, quit messing around". And although I had checked the pocket a few times while looking for the keys, low and behold when I went back this time to check, there they were.

My life has been full of paranormal things that defy commonplace explanations but one thing still puzzles the heck out of me. I went in my bedroom to put something in one of the bags sitting on the floor by the baseboard. My right hoop earring fell off. I saw where it went...fell forward in between the bags. I looked for the earring, couldn't find it. I thought perhaps it had actually fallen into the baseboard.  Nope wasn't on top of the grate nor underneath.

At a later date when I was looking for something I thought fell in between my armoire and file cabinet (used as a nightstand), I found the earring. How did it roll past the bags to the left, get past my huge armoire, then turn a corner and roll in between the armoire and cabinet?! Considering I had carpeting at the time, I just couldn't see how it was possible. I had no pet at the time.
