Great, but there's nothing better than curled up on my couch, with drink on the coffee table, my dog Mandy at my feet and a good story in hand. Nice places though.
And now I am asking myself why I never visited the Library of Congress during the many trips I've made to our nation's Capital. Something else to add to my bucket list.
very beautiful... I've actually been to The House on The Rock near Madison, Wisconsin several times. It is so much more than just a library... literally building after building housing collections of every sort from the incredible music machines to the worlds largest indoor carousel featuring hundreds of animals, none of them horses.
It's impossible to take it all in in one trip and you'll leave with sensory overload... but the music machines alone make it worth the trip.
I didn't realize Neil Gaiman used it as the location for his American Gods fantasy novel... guess I'll have to get the book and experience it through his eyes. Here's a link for those interested:
