TBD

TBD on Ning

I've seen about every repeat of BBT more than once, so when I'm channel surfing and I see that TBS has two hours in a row, I check the listing to see if it's one I want to see again -- lately I've passed on a few episodes because they just don't appeal to me!

For example, I hate the one where Sheldon gets sick and Penny takes care of him!

The mark of a good/great show, however, is the multiple themes/story lines that are going on simultaneously, so even if part of show is something I don't care for, there's probably another part that I'd find excruciatingly funny!

How about lines that Chuck Lorre puts in 2 or 3 different shows that he's worked on (Dharma or 2 1/2 Men for instance)?  "The heart wants what the heart wants."  Did he originate that or something?  He's used it more than once or twice.  I'm sorry; I blame everything on him.  But I give him all the credit for all the funny stuff, so it evens out.  I hope he gets these characters back on the funny track from last week's derailment (in my opinion).  I don't want to see any of Howard's mom, much less her babying Raj.  I actually don't care about Howard and Bernadette's marriage, good or bad.  And it spiraled downward from there.

More chemistry than what or when?

Oh, yeah!  Always have.  (The silly thing with trying to make Sheldon and Amy "normal" - what's that about?  I like for them to be brilliant and complicated when they're together.)  Penny seems to bring out the human in Sheldon more and he's more apt to dumb down for her than for anyone else.

Yes, it does often see like that. Penny is a complex character, playing mother, friend, lover, etc. to the entire group.
Here's another one --

I was/am very disturbed by the spanking scene -- where Sheldon doles out punishment to Amy in the form of spanking. I'm sure my reaction is exactly what the writers/directors were looking for, but in my opinion it was in very poor taste.
I agree about the yelling -- I don't like that part, either.
