1. Research finds1  that older people are happier

Graph

Research finds that older people report being happier than younger people. The percentages of Americans who said they were very happy were:
28% at ages 18-27
31% at 28-37
32% at 38-47
33% at 48-57
36% at 58-67
38% at 68-77.
It drops to 34% for ages 78-89. Still, the 78-89 year old Americans are happier than people under 60. Why? Older people are more comfortable and secure with who they are, what their values are, and what they want to do with their lives. Research finds they focus more on positive events and less on negative events.

I'm able to get away with more hugs and kisses to the ladies now.....I think its less that I'm becoming a real ladies man and more because I'm getting the grandfatherly image.

`sigh`

Yep Stir, I'm with you on this one.  Heck, now I get called Honey by complete strangers. Big "sigh". How could this have happened???

yeah, they give up tyheir spot in line and call you "Hon." Such indignities!

I'm getting a lot of "Sir" aimed at me now, and a few people talking really loud and slow, so I can understand.

As for being called "Hon", I still prefer restaurants where the waitresses use that term.....usually means its a place where you'll get a good amount of food for the money.

I got the "Sir" yesterday. The bagger at the grocery store called me sir, and asked if I needed help getting the groceries to my car. I politely declined.

I really don't mind the respect, as long as there is no "pity" attached to it.

*Sometimes I wonder why respect seems to be missing until age creeps in.*

Having sense not  to do stupid stuff.

Hmmmm, Having sense not to do stupid stuff?

Maybe I'm not so old after all.

Yeah, but now we can do stupid stuff and not care what anyone thinks.

Wait.....I neve really have.

Yup, I've always done stupid stuff...I don't really ever see that changing.
* I care..:-/*
I'm glad.    ;-)
