TIME IN A BOTTLE

"If I could save time in a bottle,the first thing that I'd like to do is to save every day til eternity passes away just to spend them with you." These are some favorite words I love sung by Jim Croce.  Time. What can we do with it? Can we change it? Time travel. Time machine. Time tunnel. Time portal. Sure...we've heard about or seen these on movies or TV involving science fiction phenomena, but let me tell you my friends, the truth is that the way we perceive and experience time will be  changing. This is not science fiction. This is the real thing.

 

In a secluded facility near Cocoa Beach, Florida , some scientists and mathematicians  are rapidly experimenting with time. Their enclosed surreptitious  "office" about the size of a tractor trailer contains a multitude of equipment that defies the imagination.  It is here that time is being measured in a new way and it is here where time is being distorted. It is in this kind of vacuole where time moves faster. !!

 

To comprehend what goes on in this facility is nearly impossible. The best way I can explain it is an analogy.  ...Suppose you are attending some catered affair where you have no interest in being but obligated to be there. Let's say this catering hall was booked from 1 to 5PM.  Now imagine that after a one hour cocktail hour, two hours have passed.  I'll put it another way. Two hours have passed while you were drinking to pass the time of not wanting to be there in that one hour. How is that possible?

 

To continue..As you eat some leafy salad or soup over the next half hour. a little over another hour has gone by. So you're there for an hour and a half and yet it's over 3 hours later. !!  Only an hour to go of your hated hokey pokeying . Fifteen minutes later, more than a half hour has passed. As you take a bite of your prime ribs just a few minutes later, the last few minutes wind down. The time the catering hall was booked for has expired. Everyone has to leave.

 

Imagine a 40 minute period in school having to listen to a boring lecture. Ten minutes into the period and half the period is over and every minute after that . more time goes off the clock, faster and faster with each passing minute.  You've spent a tad more than 15 minutes in the room when the bell goes off. The period is over.

 

TIME..Time that goes faster and faster...This is what's going on inside that secretive facility in Cocoa Beach. can you imagine the applications here? A  rocket ship can be so designed that will allow people to travel to planets NOT because of greater speeds BUT because it takes less time to get there. The  further you travel, the faster time speeds up.  Intergalactic voyages across the unfathomable distances of space will become a reality.  Will you be ready? it's just a matter of time.
