Life's Third Act

I was really impressed by Jane Fonda's speech on Life's Third Act. It inspired me to look more positively at the aging process as source for hope rather than despair. She uses the staircase analogy to characterize the last stage of our lives. Most notable quote: Wisdom is not acquired simply through the experiences we have, but through our reflections on these experiences. The way we choose to respond to experiences determines how they shape our lives.

I'm going through a particularly rough spot in my life right now. I appreciate the insight that changing my perspective on recent events (life's curve balls) can make a big difference in helping me to manage the difficulties.
