I've been hearing and seeing this term lately which I have almost no clue as to its meaning.  "HASHTAG".  All of a sudden it seems the word hashtag is incorporated in almost every sentence I read or see on television. When did this idiocy start? Why has the term, hashtag become part of a sentence. We got along without it  before. Why the need for it now? Is it a noun? a verb? an adjective? Some mutated preposition? Is it a new mysterious part of a speech?  I know that it looks like a pound sign. Has it undergone some exotic metamorphosis I am unaware of? Could someone please the hell hashtag explain it to me. !!!

I've always prided myself on the use of grammar. Today I hear expressions like  "It is so fun". Isn't the word "much" missing? Much fun...makes sense to me or "my bad"  My bad what? What the hashtag is going on here? If I  used expressions like this when I was in elementary, middle,or high school English classes. my teachers would have thought I was speaking a new language or a slang interpretation of the King's English.

I'm going to hashtag give it a rest on this matter. I hashtag don't care. Hashtag thank you for reading this hashtag post. I rest my hashtag case.  Now you know how I hashtag feel.
