Well my friends I am back to my old home..........told my friends that this site is still up and running............so glad. Now I can open my Gathering Place back up for our morning coffee and chats and open the new Ladyg's Party Palace so we can party on the weekends.

When I finally got email at home again, I tried to get back on this SITE to see it had JUST closed down? Was happy to see it is BACK!!

Hi everyone. I am a new member, just joined this evening. Nice to see some familiar faces and lots of new ones. I was on eons until it folded, then ThinkBeDo, now it's folding, so hopefully this is my home for a while! I am Irish through ad through (lived there for 62 years) but now have chosen to live in Turkey. Hope to meet some new friends here.
  • Anita Spencer

I joined Eons in 2007, tried Think Be Do and someone told me about this site. I have recently joined Boomerville which is similiar to Eons. I hope the person who started a group called: Getting Organized on Eons will start one here! That was really helpful to me!

  • One RealHot

    Munchies anyone?

    Reindeer Chow

    Yield: 15 to 20 servings

    Prep Time: 10 minutes

    Total Time: 30 minutes

A delicious sweet and salty treat for the holidays. You can substitute white candy melts for the white chocolate and shortening.

    Ingredients:

    3 cups Rice Chex cereal
    3 cups Cheerios cereal
    3 cups peanuts
    3 cups pretzel pieces
    3 cups red & green M&Ms
    20 ounces white chocolate
    3½ tablespoons solid vegetable shortening

    Directions:

    1. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or wax paper; set aside.

    2. In a very large bowl, mix together the Rice Chex, Cheerios, peanuts, pretzels and M&Ms.

    3. In a medium bowl, melt the white chocolate and shortening in the microwave on 50% power, stirring every 30 seconds, until completely melted.

    4. Pour the melted chocolate over the dry ingredients and quickly toss together until everything is pretty evenly coated in the white chocolate. Spread the mixture out on the prepared pan and refrigerate until it's set, about 20 minutes. Break up any chunks and store in tins or airtight containers in the refrigerator for up to 4 weeks.

Yes, I have been to the sites you mentioned Maria...I hope that in 2013 we find ourselves a permanent home like Eons!!

  • Snagg

Oh - We Old Timers do SO hope that TBD DOESN'T turn into Eons.
Not that we don't mind being the "permanent home" for the refugees from TeeBeeDee, but there was a different vibe at Eons, one that let some folks get 'WAY outta hand. Some of them learnt a few bitter lessons when they tried their crap at TeeBeeDee, and they ran away crying and swearing - But several of them were doing that multiple-identity crap, and none of us would be surprised if they tried slithering back here under a new alias. They struck us as the kind of folks who just live to be kicked out of every social site they infest, so that they can pretend that they're innocent little lambs being picked on by a cruel, unjust world. It takes all kinds, I know, but we could do with a breather before they come sneaking around again....

  • Teddy

Hi snagg i read your message about eons i was an eons member for a short while until it crashed but one thing that struck me was the number of groups closed in eons, i liked MSN till that closed very easy group to handle, but if we were all so perfect life would be very dull regards multiple identity one way to stop that and its not allowing instant membership until the I P number has been checked its extra work but if you want the group to be clean its worth the effort the bottom line snagg is not to grizzle about some thing but get on and do some thing about it

  • Chandrashekhar Vairale(Samidha)

    May your New year be
A new year that brings luck and prosperity
A New Year that brings happiness and joy
    Happy New Year

  • Ladysilverbird

Hope you all had a fun New Years Eve and looking forward to a new and interesting year...

  • Aggie

‎'Twas the night before the 2013 Cotton Bowl game,
And Johnny Football has already lived up to his name, Heisman, and fame,
My Aggies get to play the team that's called ou...,
And everyone, like me, says "o who?",
    We're no longer conference foes,
And at some point in the game I hope Johnny Football strikes that pose!,
This game is getting National Championship Game like buzz,
Wait a minute!, The Aggies are in it so it's just because,
So many people & critics said Texas A&M couldn't compete in the SEC,
Along side with The Aggie Nation... I BELIEVE!,
As you can tell I hope the Aggies WIN,
'Cause all year long I'll be supportin' that "WINNING" grin!!!

  • Snagg

    If you say so.

    Howdy and welcome, Aviator!

For those of you who aren't in Moosie's Crossing on Facebook, and would like to see some of the old gang, please note that there is a meet-up coming up in the Gatlinburg, TN area. It'll be held August 8-11, 2013.

They have room for more attendees, and Queen Saraka asked me to post this here on TBD.

Although I won't be in attendance, I do know that they have a stellar lineup of, uh, characters lined up. Queen, Still Going, NASCAR Girl, Moosie, Belle 54, CWO Robbie, and the Kremises come to mind off the top of my head. And there are more! A couple of the attendees are former Eons members.

    https://www.facebook.com/groups/207544519276764/doc/559709794060233/

Above is a FB link to the shenanigans. If you are not on FB, perhaps I can act as a go-between to put you together with someone who has more details.

Last year, at about the same time in August, several of us rented a beach house in Michigan City, and I gotta say, we had a ball.

So, give it some thought....try it, you might like it!

Hello, anyone out there? I came back to see what the heck has gone on for the past 3 years. Well, where are you all and what has changed for he best in your lives?

    Abby

  • Karin M Fichtner

I don't know about everyone else.....but I'm here. I was not here, however, three years ago. I was on Eons until they folded. This place is still pretty active. I'll bet if you drop in on a couple of groups.....you will find someone you remember.
  • Aggie

Howdy and welcome back, Abby! I am still an Aggie.

WAKE up people, lets set new life to this site and make it somewhat like what it was back in the day

  • Dazzling Zoomer Gal Diana

Well, I'm back poking about - trying to see if I can get up into any trouble . . . and am nudging a few buddies over in Facebook land to come on over once in a while. Perhaps as Autumn moves to winter we can create some  conversational energy.

  • Apposite

    I'm hoping so too Diana.
