TBD on Ning

Suggestions anyone?

Right now take-out Chinese sounds good. Except my favorite place doesn't deliver and I don't want to go out. In the heat. And the rain. And the Tornado warning.

Do you like Chinese food?

I'd like to try some fried green 'mators.....any recipes you'd care to share?
Here's a simple one....

-Slice Green Tomatoes
-Dip them in a mixture of half egg/half buttermilk
-Roll them in a mixture of half corn meal/half all purpose flour,
seasoned w/either salt & pepper OR Tony Cachere's Creole seasoning (NOT both, b/c Tony's is very salty)
-Fry them in hot oil & drain on paper towels or brown paper, like paper grocery bags.

Eat immediately.

Let me know how you like them.
Another way is to dip them in a thick batter made from beer, flour, and seasoning of choice. I think the main thing to do is not over cook them. If they are over cooked they tend to get mushy, so I fry mine hot and fast.
OH, and tonight, I'm making pizza. Sausage, pepperoni, mushrooms, red peppers, black olives and lots of provolone cheese.
What time should I come over?
How quick can you get here??

OMG - that pizza sounds AWESOME!

do you deliver?

'-)
Of course I deliver.

Whoops, you meant deliver pizza.

Never mind.
was I referring to pizza?
Sounds great. I emptied my fridge before we left on vacation & haven't been to the grocery store yet, so I guess I'm gonna scrounge the freezer & see what I can rustle up. ;-p
Since it is Tuesday and we must follow Caleb's schedule it will be Bart's barbeque. Great pulled pork, great potato salad, white beans and cornbread.
This is probably going to be a Lean Cuisine night for me...no fuss, no muss.
