To be honest I don't have enough interest in the topic to justify actually running such a discussion. After my wife died I needed to work through some backlog of philosophical thoughts I hadn't had time to really complete. But eventually I came to the conclusion that it's mostly sound and fury, signifying nothing. There's no "there" there for me. I suppose I had some lingering hope that, having shed my much more rigid belief systems from my young adulthood, there was some settled conclusion to the human condition that I had missed for lack of openness. Alas, my life means what I'm able to make it mean, nothing more nor less.
These days, I wouldn't be more than a lurker / occasional commenter in that topic space anyway.
I'm on FaceBook as well. I'll keep in touch with Mary and you there.
By the way, somehow it never registered before that you're in Stockholm. I was thinking Netherlands for some reason. My mother's family is 100% Swedish. My grandparents immigrated to America at the turn of the last century -- she, illegally -- swam ashore in Chicago from a cargo ship. One of these days I may visit the Old Country. Perhaps I'll look you up.
My husband family is in Malmo and we lived there a few months before coming here to the US some 13 yrs ago. I regret that I have not been able to practice and improve my beginner's swedish here (except my hubby - who is not very patient, I'm afraid! LOL)
I also scuba dive (one of my bucket list is to dive with a whale shark) and hope to reconnect with this sport if I'm not in a landlocked state-in any case, the flying is akin to diving - you're on your own with the elements and nature. I find that very powerful.
Thanks for the unicorn gift! :) I've tried kite surfing in OuterBanks on my 40th b'day! LOL. Here's one of my videos on flying along Michigan shore http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ANDp52FH2YY

That's right! :) We are very picky and won't let just anyone be an honorary...ummm woman... lol. But all humor aside, from what I've read in your latest posts, you fully deserve every bit of that honor!
I'm assuming this invitation didn't accidently come from me..lol...but I would think if anyone would send you an invitation to a women's only group, that would be the highest honor! :)
Thank you for the friend request, Carl. Reading your profile, it's obvious that we have some shared concerns and experiences...Det är trevligt att träffa dig!
Hi Carl, glad to be friends again :) I had a busy summer and now that it's getting colder, I have more time again to be on here. I love the pictures, looks like you had a great summer! Hugs to you and Nan.

If the group (and you) is still around, can you point me to it? I searched under Spirituality and found nothing ...
Thx
