I have my own style but I usually just do their face; sometimes their whole figure from photo or model but I don't do much background where the imagination would come in. Landscapes... my technique is between realistic and impressionistic. The people I draw/paint for like things to look realistic.
When I get into the creative aspect of work, people can look at it funny. I can be a bizarre one. I don't live around very many that appreciate the bizarre. They like Thomas Kinkade around here.

I have new acrylics (my others dried up... 20 years old ha ha). I have canvas and canvas frame. The trouble is, what do I paint? I'm just getting back into it at home. I paint some at work but mostly for instruction.
Portraits and life drawing were my thing in college, but I tend to do more landscapes now, watercolor mostly, to give as gifts.

Nice picture. I am still amazed at your successful relationship, you guys seem happy. I have never been interested in the Country Western thing, but we all change.One thing of mutual interest, and I will ask Steve. What is the attitude about alternative means of reducing diesel, just for the cost if nothing else?
