Arrived at a nice RV park in downtown Independence, MO Fri eve. It was raining Fri. morning while I was hooking up the car and getting things ready to leave Scott AFB and St. Louis. Drove most of the day with very little rain falling. Then when I got to the RV Park and started to unhook and set up, it started to rain again. It would rain for a short period and stop. wow!!! It's been awhile. Almost three Months. We were in Georgetown, TX when I wrote "OTRA 28" in June.

A lot has happened since. However, I spent most of the summer either on the farm where I have trouble getting on the internet; or engaged in adventures that left no time for posting blogs. Sitting here at Tiki Tom's RV park on Tiki Island, Texas. Tiki Island is the last exit on South I-45 before you cross Galveston Bay from the mainland onto Galveston Island. We moved down here on March 26, 2010. The next day I got to visit UTMB ER and enjoy most of the weekend there. (see "My little medical adventure")

Wow! It's been a while. I left Tampa, Florida on the 16 th of March. Even though my right front brake had overheated on the way into MacDill AFB, the dealer found nothing wrong during the tear down and inspection. So he cleaned it up, lubrcated the calipers and put it back together.

That evening while checking tire pressure prior to starting the trip, I discovered that one of my rear tires had deflated down to 40 psi. It should have been 100 psi. So Tue morning it was off to a tire…

We (Happy and I)are at the Escapees "Rainbow Plantation" at Summerdale Alabama. Listening to the aftermath of Alabama vs. Florida game. Alabama just beat Florida for the SEC championship and will now play in the National Championship game.

We are under a "Hard Freeze" warning tonight. Hope my propane holds out. I have light bulbs in the water compartment. That should keep my water pipeing from freezing tonight. I can hear the Canadians laughing all the way down here.

After two days at the Lafayette/Breaux Bridge area including a great visit with my friend Kathy and her friend Mark and brother Trevor, I decided that it was time to get moving. Thursday was just another day on the road and I made it to the FamCamp at Keesler AFB in Biloxi, MS. This morning I went to the Seebee Base in Gulfport and got a vehicle sticker for the RV. This eve we are at the Lafayette, LA KOA. It is really located at Scott, LA, Exit 97 off I-10. But since nobody outside of Scott knows where Scott is, they call it the Lafayette KOA. Look it up on Google.

When the weather is nice this is a really great campground. As a matter of fact, When the weather is very unnice (Notice I didn't say shitty. Aren't you proud to be associated with such a nice clean living young man?) it still is a very nice campground. It has concrete pull thru sites.… Continue

Tonight we are near Montgomery, AL. Will be heading on down South tomorrow. Going to an ESCAPEES RV park in Summerdale, AL. Will go to the navel base comissary and stock up on food to carry me through the next couple months. I can stock up on the staples and microwavable stuff.
