I had wanted to send you a message, but I couldn't without being a TBD friend!  I notice that you aren't in our Exhilarating Singles group on Boomerville.    It is a lot more active than this group, and way more user-friendly.  I don't come to this group at all anymore, and since there's not much action here now since the Boomerville group got active, I'm wondering if it will be shut down soon by Eddie Dingo.  Helen said that she sent messages to most of the members here on TBD, but I don't know if she included a link.

I don't seem to be able to post the link here, so see if you can figure it out by this:

http slash slash  boomerville dot spruz dot com slash group slash ExhilaratingSingles

with no spaces after the http and the two slashes and no spaces where the dots go

If you can't figure it out, you can send me an email at my regular email address.  I guess I need to put that in code, too!

It's:  jaloy at msn dot com

Hope you can understand this and come on over to our Boomerville group!

    TW/Judy

    Carol~~

Have you ever thought of adopting a horse? Every time I look at the horse adoption agencies (including a couple of reputable ones in NY), I think of you.

There are some links on the A Horse Is a Horse main page--ReRun, Inc. and Standardbred Retirement Foundation are probably the closest to you--New Vocations http://www.horseadoption.com/ often has some beautiful horses, as does The Morning Feed, but they're generally a bit farther away.

The adoption fees are super reasonable, and you have the drive, love, and commitment to make a good mother for a horse looking for a "forever" home. :>)

Most of the places wouldn't have a problem if you 1/2 leased the horse to defray the cost of upkeep after you proved you could provide a good, stable home.

I feel exactly as you do, Carol. I won't have another pet now, as difficult as that is, because they'll likely outlive me.

I admit, however, I thought you were at least 20 years younger than you are! It must be the good livin'!  :>)

    Happy Birthday!
