I'm an artist and transplant from the South (Florida, Georgia, Texas) I teach film theory and German and I am happily partnered with an introverted chess player. My Dad was from Chicago (A Czech from Berwyn). I return periodically to say Yak se mac to my relatives. My Mom is a native Texan and fabulous painter. I love to travel. I've lived in Japan, Australia, Munich and traveled around New Zealand, Mexico, Asia and most of Europe. I garden, do photography and work on mixed media artistic projects (everything from fiber to mosaics, painting to sculpture. I love camping and hiking but my spousal unit loves the quiet contemplative life at home. I'm always up for a polite and stimulating political or philosophical discussion!
If you were in Texas right now you would be very hot. I am glad I was able to stop my truck last night otherwise I would be eating turkey this weekend. Have a great weekend!
Soon the East Texas Aspen will turning colors, thanks to Ben Franklin introducing it to the USA. (Triadica sebifera) accounts for 23% of all trees in Houston now. Fall equinox hug!
Thank you, WS! I like your flower photos too. Did your flowers do as well this year as they did last year? Mine did not do as well as they did last year, so I have no new flower pics to post.
My day worker on the farm keeps saying "Leben eben (be) Sachsen, Oberdorf, Deutchland" like it is a address in Germany. You would think after being in this country for 141 years he would talk English.
A friend sent me 20 bucks in the mail. I put the 20 bucks up on front porch last night. Had 5 doe at back door this morning. I think they a holding out for bigger bucks.
As a person who boosts about having done everything, it suddenly occured
to me I'd never eaten noodles with a tuning fork. Oh, the outside of the
bowl is black.
