About Me:: I'm an artist and transplant from the South (Florida, Georgia, Texas) I teach film theory and German and I am happily partnered with an introverted chess player. My Dad was from Chicago (A Czech from Berwyn). I return periodically to say Yak se mac to my relatives. My Mom is a native Texan and fabulous painter. I love to travel. I've lived in Japan, Australia, Munich and traveled around New Zealand, Mexico, Asia and most of Europe. I garden, do photography and work on mixed media artistic projects (everything from fiber to mosaics, painting to sculpture. I love camping and hiking but my spousal unit loves the quiet contemplative life at home. I'm always up for a polite and stimulating political or philosophical discussion!

Hi, WS! Thanks for becoming my friend! No, I'm not an artist, but I used to like to draw when I was little. Was never very good at it though. I love to play around with color, always have. Right now, that is expressed in needlework or photography, when I get the chance. Love your flower photos!

My cows were not impressed by my former wife's dog. After about 5 minutes of barking at the cows. The cows started chasing the dog. Below is that dog "Missy" in bluebonnets.

I almost stepped on the fawn while patching fence. I took a bunch of photos but did not touch it. The mother must have gotten it later because it was gone the next day. Must have been only a day old.

Yes, I got a tick that day in the woods. Very few ticks anymore, I think the fireants are eating them. No spot or rings showed up after I removed the tick.

why, thank you, dahling! I like to change it seasonally. I tweak & tweak until I'm satisfied. My guy says I "have a real problem with textiles" and I'm noticing w/your compliment that that passion even shows up here, in my wallpaper! I just can't help myself!
