Raising 5 grandchildren after our daughter passed away. Retired from the Postal Service, I love boating, beach, fishing, cooking and baking. Baking is my love. Making new friends is what I want, true friends.

The birthday party for Linda was a big success and we all had a good time. I served my "Miner's Chili Beans" to about 14 persons and they all liked it so am pleased. We went out to the front deck and sat among the trees and shrubs, enjoying the nice evening air. Visiting, joking and laughing was all part of the fun.
I am pretty much relaxing today and enjoying the peace and quiet. Hope your weekend is wonderful, James
I will send you the works indeed. It was enough to feed the fire crews in Southern CA and is almost gone. My miners chili is probably easy to make compared to most ways. Talk at ya later Jim
The first peace, which is the most important, is that which comes within the souls of people when they realize their relationship, their oneness, with the universe and all its powers, and when they realize that at the center of the universe dwells Wakan-Taka (the Great Spirit), and that this center is really everywhere, it is within each of us.
This is the real peace, and the others are but reflections of this. The second peace is that which is made between two individuals, and the third is that which is made between two nations. But above all you should understand that there can never be peace between nations until there is known that true peace, which, as I have often said, is within the souls of men.
Many thanks for the kind birthday wishes! I found this sparkling presentation exceptionally attractive! I really like your avatar, too, once I got a close-up view of it.
Take care, and have a great weekend! Thanks again -- Goro
